Little but fun Waves
Another evening surf report. We didn’t head south to Short Sands Beach until around 530pm. It was a quiet night at the beach, only about 4 guys out when we arrived. We new it would be small by the wave size at the open beaches we saw on the way down. Still it was another fun session. I as usual did my share of strugging, while MrM did his usual share of wave riding which was pretty much every wave that came his way! We were south of first creek and it was definitely an inside job as demonstrated by MrM who got both rights and lefts! The water temperature was again warm in the upper 50’s, no need for a hoodie. There was a light cloud cover and no wind to speak of. Near the end of our session I started getting some good rides. I got a great left with a nice steep face. I landed squarely in the flats and headed down the line. Shortly afterward we floated closer to the south end and I got a terrific right that I rode into the beach. Who knows what tomorrow night will bring at our favorite break. See You There. P.S. Better make a day trip as Oswald West State Park camping area is full.
